LAMB OF GOD to Support SLAYER on 2017 Summer Tour, Also Featuring BEHEMOTH

LAMB OF GOD to Support SLAYER on 2017 Summer Tour, Also Featuring BEHEMOTH

Beginning July 12, 2017 in Bemidji, MN

Internationally-renowned heavy rock leaders LAMB OF GOD will support headlining metal legends Slayer, along with fellow supporting death metal group Behemoth, on what is set to be this summer's most-anticipated heavy music tour. The six-week expedition will rage across North America beginning July 12 in Bemidji, MN, winding up in Phoenix, AZ on August 20.

Slayer and LAMB OF GOD will also play Wisconsin's Rock Fest 2017 (7/13) and Rock USA 2017 (7/15), and then meet up with Behemoth at the Chicago Open Air Festival on July 16.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 3; log on to www.slayer.net/tour or www.lamb-of-god.com for all purchasing details.

Kerry King of Slayer says, "As metal tours go, this is the one that your fellow metal heads will be bragging about if you miss it! Not very often I get to go on tour where we are all friends to start. That being said, the potential for greatness at these events is mind blowing. I look forward to being a part of it, and hanging with old friends - bands as well as fanatical fans! Let the festivities begin!"

Randy Blythe of LAMB OF GOD says, "It's been a while since we've toured with the almighty Slayer and even longer since we've hit the road with our friends in Behemoth - I can't wait! This tour is gonna be the feel-good event of the summer- the gigs are gonna be like the Haight-Ashbury during the Summer of Love in '67! Okay, so that's complete bullsh*t, it's gonna be absolutely nothing like that, so don't show up with flowers in your hair looking for free hugs or anything stupid like that. It will definitely be a good f**king time though (as long as your definition of a good time means brutal, caustic, and hideously loud music) - see ya there!"

Adam "Nergal" Darskiof Behemoth adds, "It is with the utmost pride we are announcing the SlayerLAMB OF GOD and Behemoth summer tour! We are beyond excited to be joining this bill with these living legends and... our friends one more time! We are also stoked about coming back to North American shores for the last time before kicking off the next album cycle. Come and join this EXTREME metal feast with us!"

ABOUT SLAYER - www.slayer.net
For more than three decades, Slayer's onslaught has proven the band to be the supreme thrash-metal band on the planet, the band that other heavy acts are measured against and aspire toTheir membership in "The Big Four" - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax - the four bands that defined the thrash/metal genre - secures their place in music history.  The two-time Grammy-winners have also accumulated an abundance of certified Gold Albums along with "Best..." awards from media outlets all over the world, including Kerrang!SPINMetal HammerRevolver, and Esquire.  Throughout Slayer's history, the band has never faltered in unleashing its extreme and focused sonic assault, and, unlike many of its contemporaries who commercialized their sound, Slayer has remained crushing and brutal, steadfastly refusing to cater to the mainstream.  Slayer's founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed in 2013, and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has been filling in for him since.  Paul Bostaph, who was Slayer's drummer from '94 - '01, has rejoined bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Kerry King, and is back behind the kit.

In September 2015, Slayer released Repentless, the band's 12th studio album, the first without Hanneman and first with producer Terry Date, to widespread rave reviews and the highest chart debut of the band's career.  The band also teamed up with director BJ McDonnell for three high-concept and brutal music videos for the album's title track, then for "You Against You," and the most recent, "Pride in Prejudice."  Dark Horse Comics is publishing a three-issue comic book series based on McDonnell's original story concept for the videos and written by "Metalocalypse" director Jon Schnepp. Issue #1 was released January 25, 2017, with #2 and #3 coming in late February and late March, respectively.

ABOUT LAMB OF GOD - www.lamb-of-god.com
Richmond, VA natives LAMB OF GOD are one of heavy music's most successful and uncompromising bands.  When the band's first major release, New American Gospel, was released in 2000 it was immediately touted as a classic within the genre. AllMusic stated it best, "The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God's inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal's faith is maintained, effectively bridging the '90s' insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school's determined focus on riff construction."

Some predicted a sophomore slump - that no band could top a debut album so strong.  They were proven wrong, with the release of 2004's Ashes of the Wake, an album that not only exploded stateside (certified Gold by RIAA) but also saw the spread of LAMB OF GOD to all corners of the world.  The band's first DVD, Killadelphia, followed shortly after and was certified Platinum.  Then, with Sacrament (Album, 2006, #8 debut on the US Billboard Hot 200), LAMB OF GOD were honored with a Grammy nomination for the track "Redneck", which would be the first of five Grammy nominations for the band to date. Next came Walk With Me In Hell (DVD, 2008) and then the band's fourth album Wrath in 2009, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart, and then Resolution, which debuted at #3. Shortly after the release of Resolution, vocalist Randy Blythe was arrested in Prague, and spent 30 days in jail on a charge for which he was later acquitted (and lead to Blythe's bestselling memoir, Dark Days, as well as the film As The Palaces Burn).  After regrouping, LAMB OF GOD lost no ground with their latest full-length album, VII: Sturm Und Drang, the album was #3 in the US, #1 in Canada, #2 in Australia, #3 in Finland, #7 in UK, #12 in Germany and #13 in Japan, and #13 in Netherlands. "Overlord", the first single from VII: Sturm Und Drang, achieved a new milestone for the band when it reached the Top Thirty of US Active Rock Radio Chart (Mediabase).  Most recently, late last year LAMB OF GOD paid tribute to late, longtime fan and friend Wayne Ford with the release of The Duke EP, which raised funds and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The EP release coincided with a charity campaign offering personal items such as Blythe's Ashes Of The Wake Gold plaque, signed signature model guitars, handwritten lyrics and more.

Since inception and through it all, LAMB OF GOD's consistent and unwavering commitment to their music - and their fans - has kept them a critical and fan favorite worldwide, selling millions of albums and tickets around the world.

LAMB OF GOD is Randy Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums).

ABOUT BEHEMOTH - http://behemoth.pl
Behemoth have been carving out their claim as one of the world's top extreme / black metal bands since their inception in 1991. That claim was solidified in 2014 with the release of the band's tenth album, The Satanist. The record marked their triumphant return following front man Adam "Nergal" Darski's battle with Leukemia. "'The Satanist' is magic. It's dangerous. It's adventurous, and it's organic," states Nergal. While instantly recognizable as the work of the Polish blackened death quartet, it takes their sound in previously unimagined and riveting directions. A writhing, densely layered, brutally violent and sinister record, it is quite unlike anything ever unleashed within the canon of heavy music. As such it demands attention, offering ever greater sonic and emotional depths with every listen. This is evident in the band's videos for the title track, as well as "Messe Noir" and "Ben Sahar." Nergal continues, "You may hear the title and think it's very primitive and one-dimensional, and yes it is, but when you look beyond that it's as primitive as it is complex and multidimensional, and that applies to everything about the record." Behemoth's lineup is rounded out by Inferno (drums), Orion (bass), and Seth (guitar).

The Satanist debuted at #34 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in the United States. In their home country of Poland, the album became their second consecutive #1 debut, along with 2009's Evangelion. Since the release of The SatanistBehemoth have published their official biography Behemoth: Devil's Conquistadors as well as Nergal's own biography, Confessions of a Heretic: The Sacred and the Profane: Behemoth and Beyond. The books are available worldwide now.

THROUGH LUCID EYES RELEASES NEW PLAYTHROUGH

THROUGH LUCID EYES RELEASES NEW PLAYTHROUGH

The Canadian metallers are back with a new video
Stream the new playthrough via Gear Gods.
It's time for Through Lucid Eyes to showcase some of the musicianship that fans and metal-heads alike have witnessed in their previous EP, Transient, with a brand new playthrough of none other than the title track.  For the release the band teamed up with Gear Gods, and the video can be viewed here.

The Canadian quintet definitely knows how to deliver, and they were able to provide fans a seamless performance on camera, courtesy of lead guitarist Ryan O'Grady. If you're a fan of ERRA's musicianship and vocals or are looking for music with a meaningful message, this track is right up your alley: technicality meets melody and catchiness, all in one package. And if that doesn't quench your thirst, the whole EP is available digitally and physically worldwide, so don't fret, there's more where this came from.

Guitarist Ryan O'Grady has also offered some insight on the track itself: "Transient was the first song Zach and I wrote for the EP, so it really forged a path for the others. Instrumentally, it was more progressive, and we were able to find a balance between the usual frantic guitar riffs and a newfound introspective style. As a contemplation of life’s seemingly ephemeral nature, Transient also provides framing for the lyrical themes present throughout the EP".

More about the band: Through Lucid Eyes is an Canadian metalcore band from Cornwall, Ontario. Formed in 2012, the band consists of vocalist Jacob Lacroix-Cardinal, guitarists Ryan O’Grady and Zach Avery, bassist Cameron Bennett, and drummer Matthew Atchison. The name “Through Lucid Eyes” was inspired by the concepts of lucid dreaming and altered states of consciousness. In 2014 the band released their debut self-titled EP featuring guest appearances from Jesse Cash of ERRA and Carlo Knöpfel of Breakdown of Sanity. In 2015 Through Lucid Eyes signed to Famined Records and released the single “Echoes”, followed by their label debut December 9th, titled "Transient".

The album was produced by Chris “The Wizard” Collier (Flotsam & Jetsam/Prong/Last In Line) who also produced the band’s 2014 debut.

KXM formed in early 2013 when dUg, George and Ray spoke about trying to jam together. At the time it wasn’t clear what would come from those jams. The only thing that was clear was that these 3 musicians, at the top of their game, wanted to play together. The self-titled debut, KXM, was released on March 11, 2014 and debuted at #31 on the Billboard 200. The band takes its name from the combination of the member’s other projects: K from Korn, X from King’s X and M from Lynch Mob. In a world that constantly searches for new and unique music, KXM delivers all the power and punch that one would expect from these high level players.

Modern progressive/world fusion guitarist FELIX MARTIN drops his 15-track full-length album, Mechanical Nations, today! You can order Mechanical Nations now via iTunes,Amazon and Martin's official webstore. In celebration of today's release, Music Radar is hosting an exclusive look at a guitar playthrough video of the new track "Cosmo Basket". Take a look here: http://www.musicradar.com/news/watch-16-string-guitar-maestro-felix-martin-rip-it-up-in-cosmo-basket-premiere

FELIX MARTIN states, "This song is one of my favorites from the album. The intro is a duo between drums and guitar, I'm trying to imitate the sound of the drums by doing heavy percussion with the guitar, playing as heavily as I can. The second part is more reminiscent of ambient music, almost like techno and house-inspired in some parts. Then, the last part is more like a prog rock tune. The three parts are really different and it showcases the varying ideas that define the album itself."

Check out other new tracks from Mechanical Nations now:
"Bom" (playthrough): https://youtu.be/bWVULw2R7_U
"Flashback" (music video): https://youtu.be/kSiZ26qrL6U

FELIX MARTIN self-produced Mechanical Nations, with mixing by Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me). Aside from a few tracks on the album inspired by other influences (such as "Flashback"), a good portion of Mechanical Nations is inspired by industrialized South American locations and the hard work of the people. Musically, Martin's goal with this album was to discover unique sounds on the electric guitar while blending rock and metal with a Latin spark. Martin wanted his full band to stand out, rather than have the album come across primarily as an instrumental solo guitar record.

"I challenged myself to not use distortion, play solos, or even lead-solo melodies, as I wanted to focus on what makes me different on the guitar and put the whole band under the spotlight," says Martin. He continues to describe the inspiration behind the album's concept. "Many songs on this album are inspired by traditional South American melodies and locations that were then "Mechanized" so to say, in a progressive format. "Barquisimetal" is a good example - it is a place in Venezuela that inspired melodies and the landscape brought out that creative spark. Many South American countries, especially places like Venezuela, are heavily-industrialized economies. The hard work of the people and how it shaped the countries themselves seemed fitting for a progressive rock record."

Mechanical Nations track listing:
1) Flashback
2) Carnatt
3) Eight Moon Headdress
4) Nomadic Tree
5) Da House Cat
6) Cosmo Basket
7) Bom
8) Bom Continues
9) Cardboard Roofs
10) Santos (feat. Angel Vivaldi)
11) Barquisimetal
12) King Zartman
13) Four Handed Giant
14) Canaima
15) Bridge Clock Disparity

"Forget eight- and nine-strings; FELIX MARTIN takes extended-range guitars to a whole new level... showcases mind-bending tap-based playing style... a host of rhythmic and advanced chord approaches that are really in a class of their own." - MusicRadar.com

"There's no denying FELIX MARTIN is a one-of-a-kind guitar genius. Between his two-handed tapping technique and his arsenal of 14- and 16-string guitars, he's able to play things other guitarists would have trouble imagining, much less copying." - Revolver Magazine

"...Berklee-trained Martin is quite adept at blowing minds with his 14- and 16-string multi-fretboard wizardy." - GuitarWorld.com

"Mechanical Nations sees the group operating more as a unit than previously, with a greater degree of interplay between Felix and his rhythm section. Killian's basslines - full of slaps, pops and growls - feel more tightly woven in with Felix's guitar lines, leading to an even richer, fuller sound." - TheMonolith.com

"FELIX MARTIN is moving in an exciting new direction. He really embraces his jazzy size on Mechanical Nations and really pushes his unique playing style and compositions to the limit, at times making the guitar sound like a piano and at others invoking disturbingly dark tones." - TwoGuysMetalReviews.com

FELIX MARTIN recently announced an upcoming tour of the north-eastern U.S. with Consider The Source, beginning March 8 in Pittsburgh, PA. The tour will hit a total of ten cities, coming to an end on March 19 in Bridgeport, CT. See below for all currently confirmed tour dates.

About FELIX MARTIN:
Although FELIX MARTIN's popularity first exploded in 2012 with the release of his Live in Boston album via Prosthetic Records, he originally began shaping his unique performance techniques at the age of just 13. The Berklee-educated guitarist's unparalleled ability to perform a striking genre-blend of metal, jazz, progressive, world and Latin music while nimbly executing it with 14 and 16-string guitars is what preserves Martin at the forefront of fusion music today.

FELIX MARTIN performs and records with guitars that he designs himself, built by different manufacturers (including his most famous guitar by Skervesen). Check out all of Martin's guitars here, including those used on the upcoming album: www.felixmartin.net/guitars
