About TWIZTID:
For over two decades, TWIZTID - the cult-phenom brainchild of diabolical duo Jamie Madrox and Monoxide - has infectiously meshed flavors of rap, rock and beyond while fervidly moonlighting as the sonic manifestation of a Hollywood horror flick. TWIZTID's most recent album, The Darkness, debuted on the Billboard Top 200 charts at #29, marking their 11th overall album debut on the chart. The Darkness marks the Detroit, Michigan natives' first Billboard debut since the launch of their independently owned and operated label, Majik Ninja Entertainment. With the release of their new album, The Continuous Evilution Of Life's ?'s, 2017 sees TWIZTID expanding even further outside of their conquered realms, delving into hard rock and the mainstream without leaving their seat in the underground.

ANNIHILATOR Releases "Triple Threat" Three-Disc Collection via UDR Today
Includes:
ANNIHILATOR Un-Plugged: The Watersound Studios Sessions (Video and Audio CD)
ANNIHILATOR Live at the BANG YOUR HEAD Festival (Video and Audio CD)
ANNIHILATOR: Summer Mini-Documentary 2016
Today marks the release of legendary Canadian thrash/heavy metal band ANNIHILATOR's Triple Threat - a three-disc collection of their music based in a trio of very different scenarios - out via UDR Music. Listen to a sample of the Un-Plugged: The Watersound Studios Sessions portion of the set here.
Triple Threat is available now in several formats, including DVD/2CDs, Blu-Ray/2CDs, a 2CD audio-only and digital download.
Order links:
The main disc of Triple Threat comprises a set of ANNIHILATOR's classics performed acoustically, with band leader/guitarist/songwriter and vocalist Jeff Waters bringing together band members Aaron Homma and Rich Hinks, Vancouver, BC drummer and friend Marc LaFrance, plus Ottawa session player Pat Robillard. Recorded and mixed by Waters, this quintet recorded everything live, off the floor and in single takes at Watersound Studios in Dunrobin, Canada during late May and early June 2016, giving Waters one of the most challenging, satisfying and perhaps 'electric' creative moments in his career.
The second disc features ANNIHILATOR's vicious set from the 2016 BANG YOUR HEAD Festival, a set which illustrates the very best of what ANNIHILATOR is known for - tight, sharp, technically-excellent and melodic thrash metal music. It also contains some exclusive inside-ANNIHILATOR off-stage perspective, which captures further elements, flavors and detail of the band which fans will flip over.
Unplugged: The Watersound Studios Sessions:
01. Sounds Good To Me
02. Bad Child
03. Innnocent Eyes
04. Snake In The Grass
05. Fantastic Things
06. Holding On
07. Stonewall
08. In The Blood
09. Crystal Ann
10. Phoenix Rising
Live At The BANG YOUR HEAD Festival:
01. King Of The Kill
02. No Way Out
03. Creepin' Again
04. Set The World On Fire
05. W.T.Y.D. (Welcome To Your Death)
06. Never, Neverland
07. Bliss
08. Second To None
09. Refresh The Demon
10. Alison Hell
11. Phantasmagoria
The BluRay and DVD visual content is split in 3 parts:
Chapter I - Annihilator Un-Plugged: The Watersound Studios Sessions (62 mins)
Chapter II - Annihilator Live at the BANG YOUR HEAD Festival (45 mins)
Chapter III - ANNIHILATOR: Summer Mini-Documentary 2016 (45 mins)
Plus Bonus Video Chapters: "Jeff's Commentary On The Acoustic Songs" and "Jeff Answers Fan Questions"
Jeff Waters states, "This was one of the coolest things I have done in my long career. Having five people in a room, from all different backgrounds and talents, coming together to play songs from the past, and to try to sound like we are one but totally live and with feeling. This was one of the biggest challenges that ANNIHILATOR has faced, musically, but what impressed me the most was how you can hear all the individual styles each player has and how we were able to glue the playing and feel together. Done all in one take and with all the musical blemishes and imperfections that I would never normally let slide!
This set covers some of the melodic songs, one even from 1984 (when a few of these guys were not even born!) and I just had to do this once in my life... to challenge myself and maybe show some others that it's not always just about the metal and the thrash! Rock n' roll and ballads are found everywhere in heavy metal.
ANNIHILATOR are made up of a helluva lot of styles, mixed into one. That's exactly what kind of musicians I put together for this set - a mixed bag of rockers and metalheads - and they made our legacy proud! Enjoy... we sure love this one."

Featuring Interviews with Members of ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT and More

GENE HOGLAN's highly-anticipated second DVD, The Atomic Clock: The Clock Strikes Two, is due to be released on February 3, 2017 and will feature the Clock himself breaking down some of his favorite beats, telling stories and playing along with tracks from several of his most legendary projects, including Strapping Young Lad, Testament and Death.
In advance of next week's release, Hoglan is revealing what many extreme music fans may consider the most anticipated playthrough from the DVD, Strapping Young Lad's "Skeksis" from their Billboard-charting 2005 release, Alien. Take a look at the blazing playthrough now via GENE HOGLAN's YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/-eaIvh6ELVg
GENE HOGLAN recalls the original "Skeksis" writing and recording sessions: "Devin [Townsend] and I wrote the tune in late summer, early fall of '04, at this shabby downtown Vancouver rehearsal space that kinda represented where we were both at mentally in our lives. I remember him mentioning that he'd love to have an 'Almighty PunchDrunk' (one of my all-time favorite bands whom I've also drummed for) feel and vibe to whatever was about to come out of us. To me, that meant to include, 'the PunchDrunk beat', which is this great, samba-esque, Latin-feel beat (that I am sure has a name, I'd love to know it) which PD proudly stole from the legendary Canadian band The Smalls. I'm sure you've all heard it a time or two.
Dev and I played around the beat the whole song, getting closest to it in the chorus, then really sinking into it in the last minute or so, in the part I refer to as the "girl fight" part, because that's what it sounds like Dev is saying there. It is such a fun beat to play, and a real satisfying denouement to the song. A moment of crowning glory to a ruling tune. The version on the new DVD is a completely re-envisioned mix, where the vocals and samples are absent, really bringing out the rhythm guitars and basic tracks."
Filmed in high definition on a dozen cameras, with studio-mastered audio, The Atomic Clock: The Clock Strikes Two offers a chance to see GENE HOGLAN play like never before. Though certainly inspirational for any level of musician, this DVD is not only for drummers. Gene's easygoing, approachable attitude is readily apparent as he happily tells the viewer stories from his career, chatting as if with old friends about days in the studio or on the road.
An impressive roster of high-caliber musicians also weigh in over the course of the feature, offering stories about Gene and their experiences working with him. Interviews include Scott Ian and Frank Bello of Anthrax, 3 Inches of Blood/Revocation's Ash Pearson, Jason Bittner of Shadows Fall, Chuck Billy, Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick of Testament, and more.
Featured Tracks:
Testament: "Rise Up," "Native Blood"
Galaktikon: "On My Way"
Meldrum: "Walking Point," "A Toast To Romance"
Strapping Young Lad: "Skeksis"
Death: "Overactive Imagination," and "The Philosopher"
The Atomic Clock: The Clock Strikes Two provides a glimpse into the philosophies, techniques, and history of one of metal's most influential musicians of all time.
Make sure to pre-order your limited edition copy here in Canada and here in North America/elsewhere worldwide. Fans who opted-in for the special pre-order fan packages when the DVD was first announced - don't worry - Gene has something special for you!
The Atomic Clock: The Clock Strikes Two was recorded At The Warehouse Studios Vancouver, Canada. The DVD was edited by Leon Melas and directed by Rob Shallcross and Leon Melas, with co-direction from GENE HOGLAN. All audio was produced, engineered and mixed by Rob Shallcross with audio mastering from Greg Reely.
GENE HOGLAN is set to perform with Testament on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise, taking place February 2-6, 2017. For more information, click here: https://70000tons.com/
